The Coaching Skills for Managers short course is internationally accredited and provides a strong framework for managers and leaders to spark the best in individuals.
This 12-week management course introduces basic psychology principles around understanding human behaviour and motivation. Explore core coaching competencies defined by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and gain practical experience in applying your management skills.
The course is designed for working professionals and managers who want to apply coaching skills in their current work contexts. The short course is structured in a work-friendly way, so learners only need to dedicate 6 hours a week to complete the course online.Â

Accreditation
The course carries 30 of International Coaching Federation (ICF) education hours. These can count towards the minimum number coach education hours required to qualify as a Associate Certified Coach with ICF if a trainee wants to be credentialed by the global body.

What are the entry requirements?
Anyone 18 years of age or older can sign up for this short course. There are no academic entry requirements or conditions.

What is the time commitment?
- A total of 72 hours is required to complete the short course.

What is coaching?

This course is a subset of SACAP’s Postgraduate Diploma in Coaching: ICF Level 02 programme, and carries 30 ICF hours and counts towards hours of coach education needed for a portfolio path application if you wish to pursue credentialing with ICF as an Associate Certified Coach.

Educators
Nicky Wilson-Harris
Nicky Wilson-Harris is an eclectic master practitioner in leadership development and growth with experience across all levels in Corporate, Government and NGO sectors. Her work is supported by extensive training in both coaching and facilitation reflected in local and international credentials.Â
She revels in working with emerging complexities, constantly striving to better understand diversity and effect positive shifts in cultural dynamics that are both agile and enduring. Nicky is a Certified Integral® and Ontological Coach. She is credentialed as a Master Certified Coach (MCC) of the International Coaching Federation and as a Master Coach Practitioner of Coaches and Mentors of South Africa (COMENSA). She is a trained ICF coach assessor and mentor coach.
Nicky has been a Faculty Member of SACAP (The South African College of Applied Psychology) for the last 10 years designing and implementing coaching modules for the coach practitioner, advanced practitioner courses and the post-graduate coaching diploma. She created the introduction to coaching module offered inside the Industrial Psychology degree and contributed to the design and delivery of the online coaching programme offerings.
Linda Aiyer
Linda Aiyer is a Global Leadership Coach and Facilitator with 14 years of experience and over 8,500 coaching hours. She works with multinational corporations across South Africa, the US, Europe, the Middle East, India, and Africa, coaching mid and senior-level management, C-suite executives, and teams. Linda specializes in Business and Personal Effectiveness Coaching, Executive and Leadership Development, Team Performance Coaching, and Training. She also conducts workshops on Leadership Mastery, Team Effectiveness, and Diversity & Inclusion.
In addition to coaching, Linda has been an educator, mentor, and assessor for four years, currently serving on the faculty of two coaching institutions in South Africa and the UK. With over 15 years of senior management experience in corporate strategy, finance, risk management, and IT, she consults on strategy development, organizational effectiveness, and leadership.
Linda holds an MBA, is a Master Certified Coach (MCC), and has an Advanced Certification in Team Coaching (ACTC) from the International Coaching Federation (ICF). She is also a Senior Practitioner with the EMCC (Global).
