The Intro to Management & Leadership micro-credential will help you build a mix of skills, capabilities and knowledge needed to successfully manage teams, while keeping a business on track.

In this 7-week management course, you will also learn the basics of contemporary management and leadership. Learn how to identify, analyse and apply the right information to make the right business decisions.

Take a practical look at critical issues, current challenges and trends that modern managers face and what you can do to handle them.

Intro to Management & Leadership can be stacked with Foundations of Business Management: Global Trends and Organisational Functions, and if you meet the minimum entrance criteria, you can enrol for the Bachelor of Applied Social Science Degree and apply for module exemption.

Week 2: Leadership theories and organisational power and politics

Week 3: Leadership communication and employee motivation

Week 4: Managing information systems

Week 5: Managerial decision-making

Week 6: The drivers of business success and failure

Week 7: Undertake a summative assessment that captures all the key learning outcomes for this course.

By the end of this course you will be able to:
