Throughout the course, you will practically apply your learnings by creating your own Business Model Canvas, Value Proposition Canvas and business plan for your own business idea.
The course will show you how to identify and explore strategies to mitigate risk, which can be applied to your own intended business. Learn how to draw up a business model, complete a value proposition and a SWOT analysis for your business.
You will learn how to use Microsoft Excel to process, analyze and present quantitative and qualitative data and information to support your business plan. Finally, explore the basic principles of project management to ensure a disciplined approach to the implementation of your business plans.

- Business model generation Create your own Business Model Canvas for your business idea based on an in-depth exploration of this particular business model. Using a tool called the Value Proposition Canvas, you will develop the value proposition and customer segments of your business model. Consider the nature of the team you are working with; or whether you need to begin rallying a team around you.
- Business model testing Learn about testing the desirability, feasibility and viability of your Business Model Canvas. Begin testing your business model and recording the results. Conduct a SWOT analysis of your business model. Using all of the data you collect, you will then refine your Business Model Canvas.
- Mitigating risk Explore drivers of business success and failure. Investigate strategic risks and customer risks and learn how to mitigate them. Perform your own risk review of your business.
- From business model to business plan Using your tested business model, transform it into a business plan, which demonstrates the viability of your business and also your thinking and planning for how you will set up and run your business.
